The YOUTH trail is about 7 kilometres long, with an elevation gain of just over 200 metres. Over 80% of it is on unpaved roads with an earth or grassy surface, due to which we recommend wearing trail shoes. The big change made for the year 2018 is the reversed direction of the route!
The race starts in front of Villa Angarano Bianchi Michiel, and after passing through the surrounding vineyards competitors turn north along the western shore of the Brenta for 300 metres. A left turn takes the group behind the Sant’Eusebio sports facilities and towards Castellaro, passing by the San Eusebio church. Be careful when crossing the Campesana road (the only street crossing in the whole route) at the 2 km point. After this, the route’s one and only genuine ascent begins: 2 km with an elevation gain of 225, leading towards the San Bovo hermitage along a single track.

At the 4 km mark, runners will find a refreshment point to boost their energy before taking the path to the left, the most difficult stretch of the ascent, after which a turn to the right begins the descent towards the hermitage. With the hermitage behind you, the descent begins! Via a pathway packed with hairpin bends, competitors reach the Sarson underpass. Passing below the Sarson bridge, they will find themselves back along the Brenta, turning right to run southward along the last level stretch after which everyone crosses the finishing line of the 3rd edition of the CMP Trail Youth!
The prize money up for grabs in the Youth categories is offered to all entrants born between 1999 and 2007 (divided up into the categories given below), and consists of study grants for the male and female athletes who rank in the top 10 in each category.
